And finally, I had a niece, thanks to my brother, Dipo and his lovely wife Tomi! I was starting to worry that Aj might be the only girl from my side of the family, but thankfully that has all changed now! I pray she is the first of many more to come too… (more…)
In the next few hours 2013 will be ‘all done’ and we’ll be making a fresh start in 2014!
2013 has been an amazing year and I’m thankful to God because He has been faithful! I know I’m blessed and that is that! I’m quite excited about 2014 and looking forward to the challenges and joys to come with it.
Before we end 2013 I thought I’ll add our december pictures, including a few from Anjie’s birthday and visits from family and friends. Thanks to everyone that came around and made Anjie’s birthday/Christmas awesome!! Love you guys!
Over the last few weeks we been around family quite a bit! It’s always so nice being around family and lovely to see that Anjie loves her cousins loads, as for her grandparents? Lets just say she’s very good at doing ‘shakara‘ for them!
So I thought I’ll just put some pictures up which we’ve taken over the last few weeks in Manchester, North Wales and Scotland! In the pictures are Anjie and her cousins, JJ and Jason with grandma, grandpa, aunties and uncle! It’s been fun fun fun…
June was a very busy month for us, but we loved every single minute of it! As my nephew made his début appearance into this world, we had to attend his naming ceremony up in Scotland as is tradition. It was a long drive about 5.5 hours, Anjie was a darling, most of the time, but we still had to make a several stops when she started getting cranky.
That’s the new mummy and daddy in native Yoruba attire!
So this past week has been a lovely week for my family! Not only was it my boo’s birthday, but we also welcomed a new member to my family! I am now an aunty for the second time! And of course, lets not forget it was Father’s day too!
On Wednesday we went to the zoo! Flamingo Land Theme Park and Zoo to be precise! it’s in Malton, North Yorkshire and a lot closer than I thought being just over an hour. Anjie, Grandma, Hubby and I got in the car in the morning and arrived to spend what was left of the British summer. Had a lovely time, even though the little missy slept through most of the outing 🙂
So Anjie turned 7 months a few days ago! She’s literally growing right before our very eyes! And I’ll be back at work next month… Time goes by when you’re have fun…
This past week or so has been pretty busy for us as we’ve got some in-laws in town, including 14 month old twins! My goodness! Twins are HARD work! Bless them… I hope to put up some pictures later on but for now just thought I’ll write a quick post!
So this week was a pretty busy week for Anjie, Abby and I. First of all Anjie and I went to work to talk about my resuming which is in August (OMG where has 9 months gone!). Was great seeing my colleagues and all the new faces in the company. A lot has happened in the industry so I’ll be spending the rest of the month catching up so I can hit the ground run when I get back to work, or at least that’s the plan…
Anjie didn’t cry but she wasn’t her usual smily self, she just woke up when I got to the office, darn! About an hour after I left work and went to the market there she was smiling at total strangers! The cheeky girl!!
Yes! My first nephew and second grandchild in the family, Jay-jay is a month old today!!
Although Jay-jay was a tad bit early (6 weeks to be exact), he’s proving there’s no stopping him! His growing everyday and delighting his mummy, daddy and grandparents non-stop! Although, his apparently giving them some sleepless nights already! The cheeky little man!
We’ll just So thankful to God for all He has done and what He will continue to do! I just can’t wait to meet and give Baby Joisah a big massive Aunty cuddle! And I bet his cousin Anjie can’t wait to meet him either! Hopefully in a few months! Can’t wait…
In the meantime, we’ll just have to make do with pictures instead, and yes, I have gotten consent! Isn’t he just a cutie! 🙂
