My little man is 6 months old today! He is such a cheeky little man and can’t believe how much I love him to bits! It’s true what they say about the heart expanding when one has more kids! You don’t love one any less than the other… It’s truly amazing!
Junior turns 12 weeks this week and I feel I need to just get it out there, I am truly thankful for having a good baby. I feel it’s only right I should say this now so that if my sweet baby changes overnight I can look back on happy posts like this and know I had it good at one time and hopefully I’d see such days again! 🙂 (more…)
Where do I start! I can’t believe Junior is a month old already! Don’t get me wrong, I have counted each and every single day yet here we are at one month already! It’s been quite the ride, can’t say I’ve enjoyed every single bit of it but it’s been worth it. But I have to say that this young man deceived me! He has changed from his 10 day old self…
We had his naming ceremony last week and he came out with 14 names as is tradition! Aj had about the same so it’s no surprise! Since he was named after his grandpa AND he came out looking a lot like his daddy I’ve decided to name him Junior on my blog! So that’s where the name ‘Junior’ comes from… We’ll see if he grows up looking like his dad though!
I woke up at about 3.30am on the 19th of February after scheduling this post around 12 midnight earlier that day thinking I was feeling different. For the first time I was having proper contractions with period like cramps and not just Braxton hicks contractions. They seemed relatively far apart so I didn’t take it seriously.
By about 4am i realised this could be the real deal so I got out my Full term app and started monitoring the contractions. Next, I got on my birthing ball and started bouncing away. Initially the contractions were about 9-12 mins apart so I just continued bouncing while everyone slept. I wanted to be certain before I started waking anyone up. (more…)
Yippeeeee! Now, I can officially say we’re ready for this baby 🙂
All my bags are packed and I’m ready to go… but I don’t feel like this baby is rather to make an appearance though!
Plus it seems like I still haven’t dropped based on my picture, although I looked about the same thing last time, only bigger! My parents were also in town already this time with Aj at 39 weeks! So we decided to mix it up this time and invite my mother-in-law over instead! It should be fun, especially as she’ll be here for a few months! Another person for Aj to harass with her chatter – yes, we’re getting to that stage with the little madam, she’s absolutely hilarious!
Last weekend was awesome! But it ended way too quickly for my liking! We drove down to Scotland for Baby Damz‘s dedication (AJ’s new cousin!) – 5 hours on the road with a pregnant woman, a toddler and of course a man! Let’s just say the trip ended up taking a little longer than 5 hours but it was fun! In Scotland, we got all the cousins in one place – Aj, Jj, Ojj AND Damz! The only people missing were the people on the other side of the pond! I’m pretty sure the house felt the kids’ presence!
So this past week has been a lovely week for my family! Not only was it my boo’s birthday, but we also welcomed a new member to my family! I am now an aunty for the second time! And of course, lets not forget it was Father’s day too!
Seeing how much I love infographics, I figured I’ll share this one… it’s a baby gift guide which is actually for parents. Errrrr not quite sure about that though! After all, there’s no way I’m using a dummy or a baby play gym!
Other than that, I think it rather cool.
So I figured it was time to get a new changing bag from the boring old Mothercare bag I first bought when we did our first baby shopping. Heaven knows why I picked such a boring black bag, oh wait, I know, I wanted something my hubby could carry as well… Now, those days are gone, now I want to go back to being a yummy mummy! So what bag did I get? This cute little thing right here
