I was so looking forward to switching to cow’s milk when Junior turned 1! I won’t have to worry about buying formulae and we’d just carry on using the family milk – we would have to switch to full fat whole milk of course, because of him, but I wasn’t complaining about that!
Junior turns 12 weeks this week and I feel I need to just get it out there, I am truly thankful for having a good baby. I feel it’s only right I should say this now so that if my sweet baby changes overnight I can look back on happy posts like this and know I had it good at one time and hopefully I’d see such days again! 🙂 (more…)
A lot has been going on around here, the major one being colic… The dreaded colic attack!
Aj never had colic so I only heard about it but never really experienced it, thankfully I had been warned! Based on the little I’ve seen with it, I have to agree, colic is not a nice thing for a child to go through…
It’s December people! Yes, I can believe it because right now I need February to get here quickly! So glad we’re in the last month of 2014! It’s been fun but bring on 2015! Here’s praying that we finish off the year with continued joy and happiness!
Last week I blogged about measuring a little bigger than recommended in my last midwifeappointment, but this was partly due to fact that baby was lying in a transverse position so they couldn’t get an exact measure when they tried. However, at my last appointment it seemed okay-ish so we thought that was it! But no it wasn’t…
I read this article earlier today and it brought a tear to my eye.
This is something that always plays at the back of my mind – is my daughter safe? Am I doing everything possible as parent to make sure she is well protected? Which is why when I read about the PANTS campaign I just had to blog about it! I know it is something a lot of parents do already (and I’m possibly late to the PANTS campaign rule!) but for people like me that think oh my daughter is too young, well she isn’t! The difference between 2 and 3 is 365 days! So there’s no such thing as being too early to start practicing these rules.
I’m a mum and quite an open mummy blogger for that matter.
I share pictures of my family online everyday, sometimes I worry this might come back to bite me but I do try to be conscious and careful of the things I post because I know the Internet can be a big, bad and unsafe world out there and I believe being ‘aware’ is the first step.
Hubby and I are very much into technology and gadgets (well kind of) I hate to say we’re geeks (he is probably choking on his coffee now because he can’t believe I just used that word to describe us :)) but yes, we both have that tendency so I’m pretty sure Anjie and her sibling will grow up being quite ‘aware’ too. We’re not going to fight it or prevent it from happening because that’s just the way it is – heck, I’m even going to encourage it! (more…)
Now there’s this bad habit Anjie has picked up, among others of course, but this one just takes the cake – Biting! Now if she did this to just us, it wouldn’t be okay, but we could live with it, but noooo, she has to do it to the other kids in her nursery too! Now that is just plan wrong…
Anjie turns 9 months today! Yippeeee. I’ve also been back at work now for just under two months, although I haven’t quite gone full time yet (that’s in October) it’s being… Interesting. I honestly can’t say it’s been fun because it hasn’t! But thankfully it gets better and easier everyday.
OMG!!! Last night had to be one of the worst nights Anjie and I have had since she stopped being a newborn baby! I’m pretty certain she woke up at least 6 times! Twice to eat and the rest just dummy runs! That was soo not good…
I had heard a lot of December mummies talk about the 4 month sleep regression and thought I was already going through it but boy was I wrong! Now I know the difference! it doesn’t help that Anjie will be exactly 4 months tomorrow either!!
