I remember last year when I was so excited about Aj starting pre-school and wearing a uniform and then getting back into work from maternity and the school runs! All the things that could happen in a year…
Now, we’re doing it all again, getting Aj ready for new school again in a new town and once again there’s a lot to think about, to plan and prepare for…
We’re in February! This is my favourite month in the year because I have sooo much to be thankful for this month! This also tells me the year is well and truly under way, especially as it seems like we just celebrated Christmas!
So what’s so special about February? This post is dedicated to my new-ish readers who don’t really know much about me – yet!
When I got pregnant with Junior there were so many things I said I’d do differently, partly because I like to mix things up and experiment but also because Aj was (and will likely always be)
a scapegoat our first baby so we were first time parents with rose tinted glasses and all! Now we know the truth, or at least so of it…
Wow! My Maternity leave starts here! It’s getting closer now…
Yesterday was my last day at work and it got a little teary for me. I primarily work in a small team with guys only so I really wasn’t expecting them to do anything for my last day but I had a lovely surprise waiting for me when I got into work! They decorated my desk and made some lovely cupcakes! I was really touched I almost disgraced myself. Thanks a lot for that guys, it means a lot 🙂
I have to say, so far I’ve been quite impressed with the level of care I’ve received here in North Wales compared to Leeds during my first time with AJ! Don’t get me wrong, I didn’t have a BAD experience in Leeds but it did leave some to be desired. That said, what you don’t know won’t hurt you – I didn’t know I could get better service so I didn’t see it as lacking – but I’ll never forget that my appointed delivery hospital told me they were full when I was ready to give birth, that was just mind-blowing…
Once I found out I was pregnant again I knew a number of things were going to have to change, one of them was AJ’s childcare nursery. I was very nervous about this because I felt AJ had made friends there; she was going to parties and doing things in her class. She’d would even come home and talk about her friends in school so I was really torn about making the switch.
This post has been a long time coming!
I knew I was going to blog about my second pregnancy and I thought I would start sooner but for some reasons it didn’t work out that way! That said, this is roughly about the same time I started blogging when I was pregnant with AJ (24 weeks) so it feels right to start now 🙂
This pregnancy has been quite different for me, primarily because I’ve got a toddler-going-on-small-madam so gone are the days when I can lazy around and just chill when I get home tired from work and all! That said, so far so good, this one has been decent. I thank God for good health and general well-being all round!
Well this is my 36th week of pregnancy and I’m getting closer and closer to full term – 37 weeks!
I know most people would say I shouldn’t hold my breathe about the baby coming then, especially as this is my first – I should be looking more towards 40-42 weeks! WHAT?? Well the good news is I spoke to my mum and she said we all came early! Including the first born! He was almost 2 weeks early if not more! So that’s what I’m talking about. If God did it for my mummy, He will do it for me!
