We’re in February! This is my favourite month in the year because I have sooo much to be thankful for this month! This also tells me the year is well and truly under way, especially as it seems like we just celebrated Christmas!
So what’s so special about February? This post is dedicated to my new-ish readers who don’t really know much about me – yet!
First of all, Happy New Year! This post should have come last year but better late than never! 🙂
We finally did a birthday party for Aj the weekend before Christmas and it went better than I expected!
I previously blogged about Nigerian vs British kids parties and I was torn on how to go about the party. I knew I wanted it to be as stress-free as possible (for me!) but for it to be fun for the kids. Hubby and I were pretty much on the same page regarding this AND maintaining a non-expensive budget too!
As the year quickly comes to an end I thought it’ll be a good idea to just say thank you to all my offline and online friends! For being there, reading, dropping comments (or not) and just sharing our lives with us. (more…)
My little man is 6 months old today! He is such a cheeky little man and can’t believe how much I love him to bits! It’s true what they say about the heart expanding when one has more kids! You don’t love one any less than the other… It’s truly amazing!
Thank You Lord for another month, and what a special month it is/will be! I can officially say I’m due this month! How exciting is that 🙂
Among being the birth month for our unborn child, February is also the month I was born and our wedding anniversary month! How blessed is that? So much to be thankful for… No, we didn’t plan to have a child this month either, it just happened… So this month will always have a special place in my heart!
Yesterday was Aj’s 3rd birthday! In the end we decided to have another quiet birthday partly because I was being lazy what with baby and her switching nurseries so she’s still making friends at her new place. We decided to have another quiet family thing like we did with her last twobirthdays and she’ll go party with her new friends in school today!
Good thing we did too because she woke up with a temperature and a swollen face the morning of her birthday! Panic!! Thankfully she was fine within a few hours but she’s definitely reacting to something because she still has a body rash! Still trying to figure out what could have caused it…
It’s been three wonderful years of watching you grow every day! Sometimes it seems like a lifetime ago when you were a tiny little baby and sometimes it seems like just yesterday. Sometimes I can’t wait till you’re older (where I dream you’ll be less frustrating!) and sometimes I just want to freeze time and enjoy your funny, sunny and loving personality.
I thank God for bringing you into our lives every single day and I’m blown away by how much love I have for you, sometimes it’s scary!
As you continue to grow into a strong and independent woman I want you to know that no one would ever love you as much as mummy and daddy will and no matter how old you get you’ll always be mummy’s little darling! God will continue to bless and keep you today and always.
Happy 3rd birthday to my lovely little madam, love you more and more each day…
