Lets go to the beach…

So I haven’t been blogging as much as I would like primarily because I’ve been busy with a number of projects here and there plus office work is getting pretty hectic! Most times when I get home I don’t want to see another screen! But anyway, enough with the excuses (as usual!), I’ll just get on with it!

So a couple of weeks ago when we still had the glorious sunshine (as I am writing this, we haven’t had much sunshine for about a week – is summer over?) we thought it would be a great idea to take Anjie to the beach. It turns out we are we have a number of beaches not to far from us, about 30 mins to an hour to get to a couple of them. So off we went to on a nice Saturday afternoon…

It was a disaster!

My dear daughter refused to put her feet on the sand take less of walk on the beach!

And getting her to put her feet in the water? What is that??

Needless to say, it was an experience! Thinking about it, not quite sure what happened really and why. I think she was just scared as she had never seen so much water before! It’s one of those things I’m sure we need to do a little more of to get her used to it.

But at least we were able to get a group picture in all the tears and screams… 🙂

In other news, Anjie is becoming more of a talker now! I was initially starting to worry when it seemed as though she wasn’t quite picking up words like some of her mates at the nursery! Some of them could actually say her name! One in particular, anytime he sees her he just starts calling her name, and calls me Anjola’s mummy! To be fair, its something close to it, like ‘Joura’, she’s called Anjola (pronounced Ann-joe-la, obviously that’s not the real pronunciation but that will do :)) at the nursery so a couple of the kids have started shortening the name already! I keep forgetting some of her mates her like 2-3 months older than her and in baby years, that a lot! But thankfully, she now talking a lot more and using words which sometime even shock me! It’s a joy to watch and just listen to her go on and on about her day, even though we don’t quite understand a word she’s saying sometimes, bless her… And she gets so animated at times too! My little angel is growing up right before my very eyes…

Love her to bits! 🙂

    1. Yes oh, that’s Anjie for you right there! And yeah, they’re abit blurry, used my phone and not quite sure but either its acting up (after falling a few times once again thanks to Anjie) or because of the sun I couldn’t focus it properly!
