So Thursday was my birthday! I’m thankful for another year with my wonderful family and I thank God for how far He has brought me… I have a wonderful husband, beautiful and happy daughter, great job, what more could I ask for! I’m happy and thankful!
And finally, I’ve got a video my dancing baby girl! Without further ado, I give you Groovy Anjie!
Just wanted to say a Merry Christmas to everyone! A bit late but better later than never, right?
Hope everyone had a lovely day! We had some friends over for dinner. Wasn’t quite like Anjie’s birthday party which never was as family was missing but just some close friends and we had a lovely time!
And I’ve also got a backlog of pictures we took of Anjie on her birthday with her absolutely lovely cake from Sarah at Cupcake crumbs. I’d used her before for Abby’s Andriod birthday cake so I was confident she would do a fine job but she absolutely outdid herself! I found the cake image online and she replicated it amazingly. It was so pretty we didn’t want to cut it! But when we finally did the inside was just as lovely! White chocolate mud cake! Amazing! Have a look for yourself!

Yes yes, I know right! my little girl is already having sleep overs! I could cry right now… 
It wasn’t anything major though. We had to attend Abby’s company Christmas party down south near Birmingham and it was going to be an overnight do. Seeing as Grandma had gone we had to think, should hubby go without me or could we drop Anjie off with someone..?

So this week aside from Anjie walking, we’ve decided to say good-bye to the dummy, even though it was a lifesaver. The nights haven’t been easy but we’re getting there… As much as I loved the dummy I’ve always had this fear at the back of my mind that she would get too attached to it if we left it too late, heard too many horror stories really! Overall she took it quite well, not missing it at all but she’s been waking up quite a bit at night looking for food! Do babies still have growth spurts at this age? Or could she just be getting more teeth?
She’s got 4 now, so cute! (I have to say it was a real struggle getting her to show the top teeth! But the bottom two are always easy…)

Last weekend was a pretty busy weekend for us. Anjie had her first birthday party, the celebrant was a year old so is a ‘friend’ of hers and we went down to Newcastle for a baby dedication (babies babies everywhere!). So it was pretty fun! After the whole busy weekend it got me thinking what I wanted to do for Anjie’s first birthday…
So Anjie is really trying to talk now. And what does she start with? Of course it is her daddy she calls first! Typical female behavior…

Okay, maybe I’m being a little over dramatic here, but hey, I did survive! Considering the fact that I thought I won’t cope, I feel very proud of the fact that I made it through my first week without shedding a tear! My little girl went to the nursery on Monday and spent the whole day there all by herself and she was just fine without me… The rest of the week was with Grandma.

My little baby is 6 months today!! My goodness where has time gone… I’m just so thankful to God for how far we’ve come! I know we’ve had it pretty easy with this girl, all things considered! She is an absolute darling most days! Yes, she gets cranky every now and then, we’re still trying to get the hang of weaning and she’s still not sleeping through but most times she’s really only up about 2-3 times between 7pm-8am so not all bad… . I’m sure I’ll be singing a different tune about sleeping through when I get back to work in August but till then, I’m just going to enjoy what time I have left!
So what have we achieved now that we’re 6 months old? Crawling and Teething that’s what!
