Over the last few weeks we been around family quite a bit! It’s always so nice being around family and lovely to see that Anjie loves her cousins loads, as for her grandparents? Lets just say she’s very good at … Continue reading →
So Summer 2013 is almost over, we’re in September which is like the last month of Summer (and for some, summer is technically already over as schools are back in this week!). Its been a lovely summer really, thankfully, the weather has been great, most of the time, and we’ve thoroughly enjoyed our first summer in North Wales! Been to lots of lovelyplaces and hopefully, we’ll still do a little more before the end of the year!
June was a very busy month for us, but we loved every single minute of it! As my nephew made his début appearance into this world, we had to attend his naming ceremony up in Scotland as is tradition. It was a long drive about 5.5 hours, Anjie was a darling, most of the time, but we still had to make a several stops when she started getting cranky.
That’s the new mummy and daddy in native Yoruba attire!
So this past week has been a lovely week for my family! Not only was it my boo’s birthday, but we also welcomed a new member to my family! I am now an aunty for the second time! And of course, lets not forget it was Father’s day too!
So, this is a post I’ve been meaning to write for a while now and today, I said, enough! I will write this post…
Natural black hair is something I’ve always been used to. Growing up, the thought of relaxing my hair was absolutely unheard of until I finished secondary school! I had low-cut most of my primary school days due to having a very sensitive scalp and only starting plaiting it when I entered secondary school. When I was in University I cut my hair several times then I came to the UK and finally cut it again at end of the year. So, what am I trying to say? Low cut (and I mean LOW CUT) has never really been a big deal for me!
I’m still trying to get back into blogging but it’s hard! There’s just not enough hours in the day… But we’ll get there! In the meantime, I have definitely been very picture happy, so I’ll be making up with loads of them!
We’ve go another Omoniyi baby in the family! That’s another little cousin for Anjie to play with when the young man gets older. Congrats to you guys once again if you’re reading this! So while we were meeting baby Omoniyi, Anjie also caught up with JJ! Now that was funny to watch, they were playing together and running after each other, well running and crawling… And singing
So, I’ve been feeling very guilty about not blogging recently… It’s just been so busy around here! First we had some lovely friends over from Nigeria – they were around for about 2 weeks. Then we’ve been having other friends around (or going to see friends) for most weekends in the past 2 months! We got to spend Easter in Scotland which was fun! Lovely countryside, just like North Wales. Anjie loved spending time with her Aunt & Uncle so much! Too bad we couldn’t stay longer though. Continue reading →
So Thursday was my birthday! I’m thankful for another year with my wonderful family and I thank God for how far He has brought me… I have a wonderful husband, beautiful and happy daughter, great job, what more could I ask for! I’m happy and thankful!
And finally, I’ve got a video my dancing baby girl! Without further ado, I give you Groovy Anjie!
No, I haven’t abandoned my blog, I’ve just been busy moving home to North Wales!! It’s absolutely amazing and we’re all loving it! Only down side is we won’t be getting connected online till mid March :(. And mobile Internet isn’t great. So hopefully I’ll be back to blogging better by then, goodness knows what we’ll be up to by then. Lots have already happened since but I’ll try to do some short posts here and there!
Yes yes, I know right! my little girl is already having sleep overs! I could cry right now…
It wasn’t anything major though. We had to attend Abby’s company Christmas party down south near Birmingham and it was going to be an overnight do. Seeing as Grandma had gone we had to think, should hubby go without me or could we drop Anjie off with someone..? Continue reading →
