Anjie and the battle with natural black hair

So, this is a post I’ve been meaning to write for a while now and today, I said, enough! I will write this post…

Natural black hair is something I’ve always been used to. Growing up, the thought of relaxing my hair was absolutely unheard of until I finished secondary school! I had low-cut most of my primary school days due to having a very sensitive scalp and only starting plaiting it when I entered secondary school. When I was in University I cut my hair several times then I came to the UK and finally cut it again at end of the year. So, what am I trying to say? Low cut (and I mean LOW CUT) has never really been a big deal for me!

But with Anjie, it’s a bit of a different story…

Anjie at 16 months! We’re Swimming again!

I’m still trying to get back into blogging but it’s hard! There’s just not enough hours in the day… But we’ll get there! In the meantime, I have definitely been very picture happy, so I’ll be making up with loads of them!

We’ve go another Omoniyi baby in the family! That’s another little cousin for Anjie to play with when the young man gets older. Congrats to you guys once again if you’re reading this! So while we were meeting baby Omoniyi, Anjie also caught up with JJ! Now that was funny to watch, they were playing together and running after each other, well running and crawling… And singing

What have we been up to – Easter, Spring and all

So, I’ve been feeling very guilty about not blogging recently… It’s just been so busy around here! First we had some lovely friends over from Nigeria – they were around for about 2 weeks. Then we’ve been having other friends around (or going to see friends) for most weekends in the past 2 months! We got to spend Easter in Scotland which was fun! Lovely countryside, just like North Wales. Anjie loved spending time with her Aunt & Uncle so much! Too bad we couldn’t stay longer though.

The joys of Moving house

No, I haven’t abandoned my blog, I’ve just been busy moving home to North Wales!! It’s absolutely amazing and we’re all loving it! Only down side is we won’t be getting connected online till mid March :( . And mobile Internet isn’t great. So hopefully I’ll be back to blogging better by then, goodness knows what we’ll be up to by then. Lots have already happened since but I’ll try to do some short posts here and there!

Have a great weekend everyone!

Anjie’s first sleep over

Yes yes, I know right! my little girl is already having sleep overs! I could cry right now… :)

It wasn’t anything major though. We had to attend Abby’s company Christmas party down south near Birmingham and it was going to be an overnight do. Seeing as Grandma had gone we had to think, should hubby go without me or could we drop Anjie off with someone..?

11 months – Meet Cousin JJay & Grandma leaves

So Anjie turned 11 months on Wednesday! Less than a month to go! Where has my little baby gone! She’s grown up so fast! I’m just so thankful for her everyday! I know she’s going to be an extremely smart and intelligent lady when she grows up! And I’m not just saying that as a proud mum! Lol…
And here’s the little madam on the move as you can see. She let me done a small weave on her hair as well. Just wish she would stay still a little longer though so it would have been nicer! She was getting ready for nursery here, hence the rucksack!

So we’ve been really quite busy at home… so busy I haven’t had time blog! Shame on me… Work is getting pretty busy plus we’ve had family over a bit. That’s right, Anjie has met another one of her cousins from her dad’s side! And yes, it is official, Anjie loves babies and kids. It was lovely to watch her play with her cousin Jayden, his a month younger than her though so she was doing more of the playing but it was great :-)

9 months and Being a Working Mum

Anjie turns 9 months today! Yippeeee. I’ve also been back at work now for just under two months, although I haven’t quite gone full time yet (that’s in October) it’s being… Interesting. I honestly can’t say it’s been fun because it hasn’t! But thankfully it gets better and easier everyday.
