I’m a mum and quite an open mummy blogger for that matter.
I share pictures of my family online everyday, sometimes I worry this might come back to bite me but I do try to be conscious and careful of the things I post because I know the Internet can be a big, bad and unsafe world out there and I believe being ‘aware’ is the first step.
Hubby and I are very much into technology and gadgets (well kind of) I hate to say we’re geeks (he is probably choking on his coffee now because he can’t believe I just used that word to describe us :)) but yes, we both have that tendency so I’m pretty sure Anjie and her sibling will grow up being quite ‘aware’ too. We’re not going to fight it or prevent it from happening because that’s just the way it is – heck, I’m even going to encourage it! Continue reading →
I recently got an email asking if I was interested in reviewing a product from Goodheartgift.co.uk. I thought it would be a great opportunity to have a play with a smaller brand as I tend to buy most of my stuff from big brands like Amazon, Mothercare and others. And of course, it was a free offer so who could say no! Continue reading →
This is my guilty pleasure! I’m always looking forward to the next episode from this guy and his daughter Coco! I can so relate to him, it’s crazy! Anjie is already showing these crazy tendencies and it’s only going to get worse better!
Conversations with my 2-year-old is a sketch about real conversions a father has with his 2-year-old re-enacted by him and another man. I know it sounds weird but its soooo funny!
Anyway, here’s what I’m talking about! Here are some of my favourites so far.
Now there’s this bad habit Anjie has picked up, among others of course, but this one just takes the cake – Biting! Now if she did this to just us, it wouldn’t be okay, but we could live with it, but noooo, she has to do it to the other kids in her nursery too! Now that is just plan wrong…
So Summer 2013 is almost over, we’re in September which is like the last month of Summer (and for some, summer is technically already over as schools are back in this week!). Its been a lovely summer really, thankfully, the weather has been great, most of the time, and we’ve thoroughly enjoyed our first summer in North Wales! Been to lots of lovelyplaces and hopefully, we’ll still do a little more before the end of the year!
So I haven’t been blogging as much as I would like primarily because I’ve been busy with a number of projects here and there plus office work is getting pretty hectic! Most times when I get home I don’t want to see another screen! But anyway, enough with the excuses (as usual!), I’ll just get on with it!
So a couple of weeks ago when we still had the glorious sunshine (as I am writing this, we haven’t had much sunshine for about a week – is summer over?) we thought it would be a great idea to take Anjie to the beach. It turns out we are we have a number of beaches not to far from us, about 30 mins to an hour to get to a couple of them. So off we went to on a nice Saturday afternoon…
June was a very busy month for us, but we loved every single minute of it! As my nephew made his début appearance into this world, we had to attend his naming ceremony up in Scotland as is tradition. It was a long drive about 5.5 hours, Anjie was a darling, most of the time, but we still had to make a several stops when she started getting cranky.
That’s the new mummy and daddy in native Yoruba attire!
So this past week has been a lovely week for my family! Not only was it my boo’s birthday, but we also welcomed a new member to my family! I am now an aunty for the second time! And of course, lets not forget it was Father’s day too!
So, this is a post I’ve been meaning to write for a while now and today, I said, enough! I will write this post…
Natural black hair is something I’ve always been used to. Growing up, the thought of relaxing my hair was absolutely unheard of until I finished secondary school! I had low-cut most of my primary school days due to having a very sensitive scalp and only starting plaiting it when I entered secondary school. When I was in University I cut my hair several times then I came to the UK and finally cut it again at end of the year. So, what am I trying to say? Low cut (and I mean LOW CUT) has never really been a big deal for me!
So my Anjie baby turns 17 months today! I honestly don’t know where the time has gone! This past few months have been pretty busy for me too – work and all, but hopefully everything should have settled down now! That is my excuse for not updating my blog as often as I would have liked over the past few months… But to more interesting news, what have we been up to?
