So my Anjie baby turns 17 months today! I honestly don’t know where the time has gone! This past few months have been pretty busy for me too – work and all, but hopefully everything should have settled down now! That is my excuse for not updating my blog as often as I would have liked over the past few months… But to more interesting news, what have we been up to?
So, I’ve been feeling very guilty about not blogging recently… It’s just been so busy around here! First we had some lovely friends over from Nigeria – they were around for about 2 weeks. Then we’ve been having other friends around (or going to see friends) for most weekends in the past 2 months! We got to spend Easter in Scotland which was fun! Lovely countryside, just like North Wales. Anjie loved spending time with her Aunt & Uncle so much! Too bad we couldn’t stay longer though.
So, yes I work for MoneySupermarket and all, but this is a piece I can definitely relate to!
Baby proofing our home is something we’re still constantly doing (even with a 14 month old baby), especially as we recently moved house. As much as we try to give Anjie the space to run around and have fun we also have to look out for her safety. One of her favorite places is the kitchen, which isn’t always a good thing what with all the cooking going on in there! But everyday is a school day so we live and learn! She’s definitely getting to that stage where she wants to be more independent and roam the house as and when she pleases! We’ve done quite a bit so I’m happy with the baby proofing we’ve done, the rest, we’ll deal with as and when required!

Who bribed her daughter to keep quite when she was having a tantrum!
So hubby and I decided to make a quite dash into the shops to pick up some groceries with Anjie without really preparing for madam! Big mistake…
Well this year seems to keep getting better and better! My little angel is finally starting to sleep through on most nights – with a little help from mummy and daddy of course…
So Anjie had been doing ok-ish late November in the sleep department, waking up like once at night to have some milk then back to sleep. I thought, this is ok, I could work with this – but then she had chickenpox and everything changed, for the worse. She started sleeping quite poorly which is to be expected considering what she was going through. It got so bad she started sleeping in our room because she was that restless at night. Wow! This 2013 has been amazing already! Soooo much has gone on already! So much to be thankful for! Where do I start! Well first of all this is my new look…
I figured it was time for a new break and decided to do something drastic since it was a brand new year! So a massive hair chop was done! And my goodness the freedom!! I could go on and on about it . I don’t have to worry about what to do with my hair any more, I just get up and go! After makeup of course! While I was on the hair cutting spree I trimmed Anjie’s hair as well so it’s even all round now, I think she’s so much cuter now! Continue reading
The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2012 annual report for this blog.
Nicely done too!
Here’s an excerpt:
600 people reached the top of Mt. Everest in 2012. This blog got about 8,400 views in 2012. If every person who reached the top of Mt. Everest viewed this blog, it would have taken 14 years to get that many views.
Just wanted to say a Merry Christmas to everyone! A bit late but better later than never, right?
Hope everyone had a lovely day! We had some friends over for dinner. Wasn’t quite like Anjie’s birthday party which never was as family was missing but just some close friends and we had a lovely time!
And I’ve also got a backlog of pictures we took of Anjie on her birthday with her absolutely lovely cake from Sarah at Cupcake crumbs. I’d used her before for Abby’s Andriod birthday cake so I was confident she would do a fine job but she absolutely outdid herself! I found the cake image online and she replicated it amazingly. It was so pretty we didn’t want to cut it! But when we finally did the inside was just as lovely! White chocolate mud cake! Amazing! Have a look for yourself!
Happy birthday to my darling and sweetie-bo Anjie!
Can’t believe it’s been a year already. I’m so thankful to God for how far He has brought you and I know this is just the beginning, your best days are ahead of you my love. Mummy and daddy and all your family love you so much! God bless you, keep you and protect you all the days of your life…
Yes yes, I know right! my little girl is already having sleep overs! I could cry right now…
It wasn’t anything major though. We had to attend Abby’s company Christmas party down south near Birmingham and it was going to be an overnight do. Seeing as Grandma had gone we had to think, should hubby go without me or could we drop Anjie off with someone..?
