Seeing how much I love infographics, I figured I’ll share this one… it’s a baby gift guide which is actually for parents. Errrrr not quite sure about that though! After all, there’s no way I’m using a dummy or a baby play gym!

So I figured it was time to get a new changing bag from the boring old Mothercare bag I first bought when we did our first baby shopping. Heaven knows why I picked such a boring black bag, oh wait, I know, I wanted something my hubby could carry as well… Now, those days are gone, now I want to go back to being a yummy mummy! Last weekend was a pretty busy weekend for us. Anjie had her first birthday party, the celebrant was a year old so is a ‘friend’ of hers and we went down to Newcastle for a baby dedication (babies babies everywhere!). So it was pretty fun! After the whole busy weekend it got me thinking what I wanted to do for Anjie’s first birthday…
Anjie turns 9 months today! Yippeeee. I’ve also been back at work now for just under two months, although I haven’t quite gone full time yet (that’s in October) it’s being… Interesting. I honestly can’t say it’s been fun because it hasn’t! But thankfully it gets better and easier everyday.
On Wednesday we went to the zoo! Flamingo Land Theme Park and Zoo to be precise! it’s in Malton, North Yorkshire and a lot closer than I thought being just over an hour. Anjie, Grandma, Hubby and I got in the car in the morning and arrived to spend what was left of the British summer. Had a lovely time, even though the little missy slept through most of the outing

Caroline, one of my dear readers (;-)) recently made a comment about her best baby buy and got me thinking about what ours was! After much thinking and pondering, I’ll have to say it has to be our AngelCare Sensory Mat and Baby Monitor!
So remember I said I was going to get a Victoria Sling Lady baby sling? Well it came in the post and I have to say Anjie and I are absolutely loving it!
The Victoria Sling Lady Sling (VSLS from now on!) is pretty simple and cheap! Infact it is so simple you wonder why I didn’t think of that! (to be fair back home in Nigeria we carry our babies on our back with a large piece of cloth, I just don’t have the guts or know-how to do it!). I got if off EBay for £15 and it’s well worth it especially when my mum leaves this weekend…
Anjie turned 3 weeks this today! Yipppeeee! From next week we can actually start counting in months, but I think I’ll stick with the week count till about 2-3 months
Anjie’s getting darker in the skin complexion department, meaning she’s once again tilting towards her dad in terms of looks! But it’s still early days so we’ll see! Some people see her pictures and insist she looks like my mum (I’ve been told I’m a darker version of my mum as well) so its just interesting to see which way she continues to swing in the looks department!

So I’ve been doing a lot of reading on what to pack and what not to pack for my trip to the hospital for me and the little one. Its all a bit overwhelming as I hate load and there just seems like an awful lot of things to pack and I’m seriously wondering if I’m actually going to need all that!

At last, we order our first baby stuff!
I know! am I mad? Waiting this long and all! But then again it could be said that we wanted to be sure and wait a little longer! But we saw a good deal and decided to go for it!
We got the Mothercare Spin Travel System. It comes with the pram/pushchair convertible and we also went for the Maxi Cosi car seat as well. Hopefully this will be the most expensive baby gear we buy and we’ll use it for a number of years and most likely hand it down to the brother or sister.
